Randomly expose users within a segment to the control or a variant. Randomization eliminates selection bias. Sample size calculations rely on the expected lift in CAC, the baseline conversion rate and a confidence level of ninety five percent. Overlooking Lifetime Value
Focusing solely on CAC without accounting for lifetime value (LTV) can lead to premature decisions. A variant that reduces CAC but also lowers LTV may not improve overall profitability. Integrate LTV projections into the payback calculation.
Ignoring Seasonal Effects
Running a test during a peak season can inflate conversion rates and distort CAC measurements. Whenever possible, stagger tests across multiple periods or apply seasonal adjustment factors during analysis.
